However, there are circumstances where retrieving those blocked messages may be very important for one reason or another. This can offer a lot of peace of mind in many scenarios where you don’t want to be contacted by someone for any reason. That option is called “Blocking.” Blocking someone makes it so that you won’t receive their messages even if they do text you. If you change your mind, just select it again and unmute it.If someone reaches out to you without your consent, you can prevent them from contacting you again. Next to the conversation you want to mute, select More options > Mute. When you mute a chat, you'll still be included in the conversation, but won't get notifications from it. Select Show hidden chat history to see the conversation. Once you've located the conversation in the chat list, select More options > Unhide.
The conversation will now show in your chat list on the left, but if you don't see it right away you can select Filter to search for it. You'll see that the chat history is hidden (which you can choose to show by selecting it). In the Command box at the top of Teams, search for the name of the person you were chatting with and select them. Need to see a hidden chat again? Unhide a chat that you've hidden before by using search. The chat and chat history will be hidden until someone posts a new message to it, and you can always resume an old conversation that you've hidden as well. Next to the conversation you want to hide, select More options > Hide. Note: You can delete individual messages that you've sent.
